Notes - Sight Reading Trainer App Reviews

Great!

This is a very clever and useful app for practicing musical literacy.

Great for music students

A great, no muss no fuss app. Simple, straightforward, and an accurate test of music note knowledge. I use this with my piano students. Its a great way to quiz them on their knowledge of note names and piano keys. Its also fun for them to see if they can beat their previous time record. AND its good for ear training because you hear the notes as you identify them. Only complaint: if you have your earphones in while the app is open (even in the background), then unplug them, the sound will not work on the app unless you plug your earphones back in. So if you want to use sound on it without earphones, you have to plug them back in, adjust the sound, then unplug them to get the sound to work again without the earphones. It took a while for me to discover that was the reason my sound wasnt working; I tried adjusting the apps sound settings, closing and reopening it, deleting the app and re-downloading it, and nothing worked. Then I realized I left the app open in the background while I took a phone call using my earphones, and I figured out how to fix it. Without this issue, Id give it 5 stars. (Can this be fixed?)

Effectively simple.

Well presented with no frills and effective memorization drills

Great Application!

this application help me so much to pratice the music Notes! Better than others!

Excellent app

Very good to use

Brilliant!

Coming back to review again, I still cannot get over how awesome this app is. It is just-- incredibly succinct and fun at the same time.

IS LANDSCAPE VIEW ONLY!

How can you have an app in 2016 in landscape view only? I get that they wanted to fit a piano keyboard, but terrible to use. I almost never turn my phone sideways unless Im watching a video. If you want to practice your sight reading I found Blue Note way easier to use.

Very good app.

Does exactly as described. The only things I would suggest to add for a more complete experience would be double sharps and flats and some more advanced exercises with more ledger lines but as this app is continually being worked on, it gets a solid 5 stars from me.

D key not working in hard mode for bass.

D key not working in hard mode for bass. Otherwise this is the best Apps. Pls fix it asap.

Kaboobee

This is a very good app for learning musical notes and staff. I love the challenge of trying to beat my time

Sharpen your mind

This is a great app because I dont need an Internet connection and I can improve myself instead of just looking through social media all day. It is really helping me to be able to sight read. Im always trying to beat my high score. I dont always even need the sound but the sound is good for training.
